Finally got an OBD 2 reader. Only a cheap one but it’s good enough for what we’ll use it for.

I bought one of the cheapass ones off amazon ($50 i think) and it works great. Two buttons, next and ok. But it will do live data like rpms and o2 readings. It has a usb cable, not sure if i can pipe all that to the computer or what

I bought a Bluetooth attachment from Amazon for 30 and then the torque app for 5. Has worked great both times I’ve used it. Best part is that it can be used as a data logger for track days, 0to60 times, etc.

Ours was about the same price, reads o2 and rpm etc too.

Ours was about £33, doesn’t do 0-60 etc but does live RPM.

Nice. Should work just fine. I always love getting new toys. I do need to get a reader for my 93 f150...preOBD2 days

It diagnosed a faulty coil pack just fine so seems to work well. Is it easy to get hold of readers for pre OBD 2 stuff?

Not sure, I already found one on Amazon for my truck, just haven’t bought it yet. I think you almost need to find one for your specific manufacturer and year since they all had their own systems
